Khusku

Mirasol Khusku is a soft blend of wool, bamboo and nylon. Khusku means "colorful" in Quechuan which describes these beautiful hand-painted, variegated colorways. This fingering weight yarn is a lovely choice for lightweight garments, hats, scarves, and shawls.

Mirasol Yarns are made in Peru to benefit the Mirasol Project - a group that strives to improve the lives of Peruvian shepherds (homeland of the Inca’s) through building and supporting educational facilities. The Mirasol Project is named after a little girl who tended a herd of alpaca near Lake Titicaca and was set up in 2006. It aims to raise enough money through the sale of Mirasol yarns and wool to start to combat the extreme poverty these children face and help provide them with better futures.
